It seems that this exploration matter was included on the agenda of the Premier’s Coordination Forum (PCF) held in Bredasdorp on 27 & 28 July 2010. Hessequa Municipality presented their point of view to the PCF and it received unanimous support. (The objective of the PCF is to promote and facilitate intergovernmental relations and cooperative government between provincial government and municipalities to ensure integrated, effective and efficient service delivery. The PCF is composed of the Premier (the chair) and all MEC’s, the Director-General and Head of Departments, Mayors and Municipal Managers of all 30 municipalities (including Metro)).
