The food garden has been going
for a number of years and is now managed and run by the community. The food garden produces beans,
sweet potatoes and sometimes pumpkins. The vegetables grown here are sold to local residents and farmers from the neighbouring areas.
We have recently managed to secure a grant from the Western Cape Department of Agriculture for seeds, irrigation and other equipment and for fencing to keep out the porcupines.
